Computational Models in Human Vision Symposium (15th) Held on June 19-21, 1986 in Rochester, New York.

Abstract : This is a collection of abstracts and papers from a symposium on Computational Models in Human Vision held at the Center for Visual Science in June of 1986. Recently, a number of significant contributions to understanding human vision have come from the field of Artificial Intelligence. This influence is changing the scope and nature of the study of vision. The aim of the symposium was to crystallize this trend for the community of visual scientists, to review its contribution to the study of human vision, and to promote communication between vision scientists in neurophysiology, psychophysics, perception and computer vision. Papers were presented on: motion, color, texture, shape and form, space, and contextual effects and attention. These are all areas in which there has been significant computational work, and the abstracts in this collection reflect the current state of the field.
