Channel surfing reinitialization for the constant modulus algorithm

The proper initialization of the constant modulus algorithm (CMA) is a critical problem that has not been solved. This paper presents a new reinitialization scheme for CMA. The proposed scheme searches in the channel space for the constant modulus equalizer with minimum mean-square error by exploiting the structure of the minimum mean square error (MMSE) equalizer and connections between the constant modulus and the MMSE equalizers.
